i'd be a little worried about that split ring, but I suppose that is due to user error rather than wear and tear.

I'm still considering whether to get a small wrist lanyard for my device, but I tend to place it in it's case when not on my desk or in use and I think that is sufficient at the moment.

But I am now tempted to consider this... so many accessories so little time to buy them all!
