Thanks Boz. That seemed to do the trick! Only slight anomoly was I noticed after the 'successful' uninstall the WM5 taskbar along the top was still in place. So, it would seem the HTC home plugin uses the WM5 version with no means of reinstalling the original WM6 version ater an install. Not really a gripe though just an observation

However, I still seem to have a brighteness problem but I'm not sure if it's the same as others have reported. After installing the HTC plugin, when the screen is locked, the backlight turns down so low you can barely make out the unlock button! You have to touch the screen from memory it's that dark. Also, the brightness button doesn't seem to do anything. Any ideas??! Thanks again!!
