On first read of the article in the Sunday papers I was inclined to agree but even I could see the issues with on-line stores straight away.
And it does nothing to stop imported phones.
Another case of gut reaction legislation on the part of our current nanny state Government. They don't seem to think about anything before opening their mouths - though I do believe the media have a major role to play in this fault. As soon as anything happens it's "What is the Goverment going to do about it?"
Mind you it would be a great way to get everyone to have a passport or ID card
