As for the other issues:
More information is required for the Issue when the F900 doesn't wake up after a few hours in sleep mode.
1. Are you using the OS that came shipped with the F900, or one from the Acer FTP or elsewhere when you see the wake up issue?
Ans: I haven't encountered a black screen that I had to soft reset; if tapping the screen didn't wake it up, one or two presses of the power button has always worked.
2. Did the wake up issue occur after installing other software, or did it first appear without other software installed?
Ans: N/A
3. Does the wake up issue still occur even when all programs are stopped from running in the background? (ignoring activesync as this runs anyway).
Ans: N/A
4. What OS version are you currently using 1.002 or later? (check in settings> system> system information> wireless module> GPS/GPRS)
Ans: 1.002 according to the ACER screen when I reset. The OS version doesn't show up under the aforementioned
GSM/GPRS (not
GPS/GPRS, by the way), although under System Information > Software it shows Major version:1, and Minor version: 002. Same thing I guess.
5. Have you had any problems keeping your network settings after a soft reset?
Ans: Yes, everytime I reset. Always! I run an AT&T connection cab to repopulate the settings. Happens after a clean hard reset or rom flash, and with programs installed.
6. How have you found the phone signal in general, has it been weaker compared to other devices you might have owned?
Ans: Yes, weaker than my iPaq 6945. That's the only GSM phone I have to compare it with. I get No Service occasionaly on the F900 where the iPaq gets 1 or 2 bars.
Oh, another problem for me: screen sensitivity. Frequently need to tap an icon, soft button, or PIE link multiple times to get a response.
