Glad you are enjoying the review guys.
If when talking about the compass you are referring to the heading either being North or 'Heading Up', then no the heading up option does not seem to use the HD2's hardware.
The delay has been down to some last minute ROM revisions to fix glitches in the ROM that will be loaded.
No firm release date yet but it is close!
