HTC Touch Diamond vs. Samsung i900 Omnia: Head-to-Head

We have them at work, and a colleague who develops on them side by side, said the i900 is the one to have (although I have not seen them yet).
He said the screen is a big plus and the microsd slot totally trumps the Diamond for multimedia, not to mention that video is better on it too.

I'm still undecided, although, as my Diamond is delayed I've been given the option to change to another phone, so the i900 might soon be in my pocket....

Note to self, make bigger pockets.

After MUCH deliberation, I've finally ordered a Diamond from mobiles.co.uk. It's free, £35 a month, 11 months half-price via redemption plus a Jawbone 2 bluetooth headset which is pretty good, and of course, on the £35 I get the "unlimited" data Orange offer.

Two reasons over the Omnia were the fact that the stylus is integrated (I use it a lot for quick typing on the keyboard, would drive me nuts on the Omnia!) and also the size which just can't be competed with.

On the 4GB front I've decided to just buy an iPod for my music, until something with immense battery-life comes out.

I should receive it Monday, subject to a credit-check!

I am going with the i900 as soon as AT&T gets it in the states. Unless they cripple it then I will buy one unlocked from somewhere else. The stylus situation I think I can make a little tube holder on the side of the phone with a small earth magnet in the bottom. That should do, or a holder sewn in the phone case.

S'all clear, but I think I'll probably get it Tuesday as I ordered Saturday; the next day delivery thing might only be on weekdays.

So much for waiting for WM7, but I can no longer leech off my dad's business contract and have to get one myself anyway...so might as well kill two birds with one stone!

Hopefully can sell the old Touch + GPS stuff on eBay for a decent amount too!
