Re: HTC Touch Diamond vs. Samsung i900 Omnia: Head-to-Head

The Diamond is LUSH! Am in the process of customising. I am surprised by the speediness of TF3D!

I agree, the Diamond is almost my perfect device. I'd like an ok button rather than a back button and a little bit rounder corners and that would be it. As it is it's still pretty awesome.

Glad you like it, have you found your way to the cricket fixtures with it yet?

Haha not yet, but I had a good little go on Google maps during my lunch break!

Unfortunately I've not had enough time during the week to really give it a good test and install the programs I want etc. but I've been using it for the last two days and I'm so impressed!

It's really fast, even texting on it is miles easier than the touch - the screen feels a lot more responsive. TF3D is probably one of the most fluid UI's I've used, and I think it's perfect; being able to access everything from the today screen. I think I've used the windows mobile UI like twice, and one of them was just to change the initial settings to my preference.

As far as battery life goes, I've managed to get through the day with my usual usage and still have around 85% in the evening. I s'pose GPS will kill it but I'll probably use the in-car charger.

Huge rant about Orange though, poor service as usual! I sent a text to all my contacts notifying them of my new number, and it repeatedly sent the same thing over and over and over again, called Orange, they told me to turn my phone off for 15 mins, I'll get an update and it should be sorted. After 20mins, turned my phone back on, no update...text messages still sending away, ring up Orange to find it's past 10pm and they're closed!! Very annoying, will have to revert to the old SIM now for a day until I get my hands on them again!!!

S'alright, spoke to a very helpful guy today who's sorted everything out, if only they were all like that!

Re: HTC Touch Diamond vs. Samsung i900 Omnia: Head-to-Head

You should have got their name and direct dial number. For future reference.

Just out of interest, I make a point of giving good feedback to Mobile CS people when they've helped me out. It only takes 5 minutes and you get good help so infrequently I think it's important to give back.
