ETEN V900 review at winmobile.se

The guys over at winmobile.se have managed to get their hands on the new forthcoming ETEN V900 windows mobile machine. This awesome beast features unique items such as Digital TV, as well as a large memory and fast processor.

I'm pretty sure that details of this machine are supposed to still be under wraps so if you want to read what they say about it - do it quickly!

I also have my hands on one of these units and will post a detailed report as soon as possible, and yes it is an excellent device with a very powerful processor!

Here is a teaser screenshot the V900 runs SPB shell.

Re: ETEN V900 review at winmobile.se

Looks good ... but .... I can't believe I'm saying this .... with 6.1 being so bloated ... 128M RAM is no longer enough (particularly given this is VGA). The device needs 256M.

Even on my TyTNII with 6.1 I'm finding I have to soft reset from time to time .. there is only 39-45m available after soft reset ... I'm aware this should be enough, but apps like Good etc tend to leak ... and getting them fixed .... it isn't going to happen.

DVB .... is that over the air in the same was as freeview - i.e. no data transport required ?

Paul.

Re: ETEN V900 review at winmobile.se

Yes.. This is almost the holy grail isn't it? I haven't been persauded by either of the new HTC diamond/pro devices. There's no leap in features, over the Polaris.
The Orbit was the only thing that had everything (FM, Wifi, BT stereo and would stream RM and WMA). Yes there's tv out on the Pro, but now TV, that's it, its the next biggy feature. Even if this is by means of a big sticky out external antennal.

The ETEN, from the pic could do with a bit of a tart up (the shiny buttons, make it look a bit cheap, although in another pic it looks better).

I think it's a case of keep our eyes open, though, after all we've got 8mp camera's, wobbling about on some devices already
(8 megapixel LG KC910 announced, comes with Wi-Fi and GPS - GSMArena.com news)

As that ETEN stands though, it's the first one out which is making me 'twitch', about something to possibly upgrade to (shush, though don't let your Orbit II/TC hear you!)
