Re: Review: O2 Xda Ignito
Hi
I have been a semi satisfied user of the Orbit 1 for 12 months - just upgraded to the Ignito. I am having a problem hearing the phone ring when in my trouser pocket, even though set to the loudest setting.
Not sure if this is a hardware fault – or if it is just the way it is! Anyone else had similar problems? If this is the way it is – the phone goes back!
Thanks

Hi and welcome, I have no trouble with the volume on mine. Have you set the ring volume to its loudest? To achieve this tap the speaker symbol on the Today screen, and then tap the left left arrow at the top of system volume which will take you to ringer volume.
Set it to its highest and see if that helps, don't forget there is vibration too so you can feel it ringing in your pocket.

Hi
Thanks for reply on this. I have played around with all the settings I can find on this. Vibrate is on and ring volume is max. Even changed ring tones thinking that would make a difference. Phone is in pocket in the sleeve provided... the sleeve does not seem to make much difference to the volume...
Any more thoughts on this welcomed!!

Re: Review: O2 Xda Ignito
What a pile of junk. It slow, completely unintuitive. Wont connect to my wifi -at least not for very long and at ridiculously low speeds, and then randomly drops the connection (im 9 feet from the router) claiming incorrect key! I cant always enter the network key as the scroll bar doesnt always appear - whats that about? Ive had this thing less than a day and its practically given me a an embelism. Complete pile of cr*p, its slow. Says things like select new for new entry - when there is no new option on the screen!! You have to go to menu, then new. Its truly awful.

Re: Review: O2 Xda Ignito
The sleeve did / does affect the volume for me, so I never use it.
No such speed options here at all, and no problems with Wifi stability at all.

I think you need to try a hard reset, or send the device back for replacement, I have not had any of these problems either!

Must admit to the same here, the Ignito is the best PPC device I've had yet!

Re: Review: O2 Xda Ignito
Well I've had the Ignito for a week now and I'm in love!
Bottom line is that returning to the O2 network after a couple of years is amazing, with the EDGE (Thanks iPhone!) (On GSM) connections allowing me to have better battery life without compromising on connection speed. The GPS is great and the device is the most reponsive I've had.
The size is great although TF3D is a bizzare app but one that I'm loath to remove despite it's stupid bits (Why did the developers think that it was a good idea to take you back into the standard WM contacts when clicking on a picture contact for example?). It works on the whole and the speed of the underlying O/S is the best bar none!
The best bit for me is that I only have to install PI, SK-Tools and Resco Explorer 2008 to get my device to a usable state. I did think that I'd miss PocketBreeze but it's not as bad as I feared!
I don't mind the lack of storage cards as the 4Gb is fine for me and I'm not looking for a new ROM anytime soon (Although may have to flash the Touch Plus!).

Nope, I've had all Touch variants thus far, from the Touch 128Mb though to the Touch Dual. TBH the only things I'd want would be a slide out numeric keypad like the dual and the thickness of the dual. The Ignito will be the same thickness as the Dual with the extended battery and that feels perfect, so I'll treat myself to one of them once they come out (And get better battery in the bargain!).
My next upgrade is due next month, but with the Dual for work and the Ignito for pleasure I'll wait to see which one of the Touch HD, 3G and XPeria is best.
My next wish is for an official version of TT7 to come out!
