Hmm if I set the MiniS's brightness down to 6 it looks so dark as to be unusable. Are you using those on your MiniS?

Yeah, they changed the Brightness value from 1-10 to 1-to-255. I'll see if I can find my setttings I used for the review.

Grin it might be useful. I'm wondering if the same settings will apply to the Exec as well?

Maybe it's a WM5 difference, but I have not actually changed the default Wiz settings at all.

Re: O2 Xda Mini S Review

I think it's true for all HTC devices. Certainly all the recent ones I've seen.

might be due to MS building a camera API for WM5? So in theory HTC just have to hook up it's drivers.

Yeah, that was my thinking behind it too.

Anyone help please. I got the Mini S from O2 but am sending it back. It's frozen on me several times and I find it very slow (think I'll try the Zinc when it comes out). Unfortunately I can't seem to get the darned thing to do a hard reset to clear all my contacts etc. I've read the booklet and followed the instructions but nothing happens. is there a special 'trick' to this that I'm missing? Thanks

Hi Histrel,

Check out the FAQ section for How to Hard Reset your WM Device

Re: O2 Xda Mini S Review

Histrl, have you tried this?

Hard reset sequence: Press VoiceDial button + comms manager button + soft reset. You will get a screen with 3 colored bars; at this screen, press the D-Pad UP. (some other version will display a message saying to restore to factory default settings, press the 'Send' button. In this case, press your 'Send'/'Call' button).
