I suppose that's all I can do. The seller has good feedback etc, so I can't see there being a problem, but I'm sure I could get more than that for my cash in a fair deal. I would not have bidded that amount for this unit. Oh well I will wait and see. Thanks for your help Jim

Glad to help comput1, let us know how you get on. Hopefully the seller will realise his mistake...

The seller responded quickly today. To be fair, maybe he did try to pull a fast one, but he has more than made up for it in his reply:
Sorry that you are having problems. The stock we received should have been exactly as listed. I was not aware that there were differing versions of the N560 Loox model. I'm afraid that we have now sold the few that we had in so cannot replace it or supply the missing part. We can collect and arrange a full refund for you. If the item is of any use we are willing to sell at our cost rather than returning it to our supplier. This would mean a refund to you of £85 if you are happy to keep as is. Please let me know and I will arrange either way immediately. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.
I have offered the item (N520) to my Mum who wanted it when she heard I'd got it originally, and she will take it at the reduced price IF:
Tom Tom 6 has Ireland Maps, (the version is Uk and major roads of Europe)
Tom Tom 6 will give her voice directions
I can get her a SD card, tiny windscreen mount and a car charger.
Any ideas anyone?
Oh and I am going to try for another one of the N560 for myself.

Sounds like he's being fair, though knows little about PPC's He has sold you a totally different mode (N520)l, rather than another version of the N560.
But £160 is a good price for the N520, even without the mains charger. (they are about £280 new)
TomTom don't cover ROI, though NI is OK. Co-piot cover major cities only in ROI.
Both offer full voice navigation, and acccessories are easy to come by. FS do use a proprietary power/sync connector, rather than miniUSB, but you can buy a sync/charge cable and car adapter for about £10 on Ebay. Mounts and SD cards are equally easy to find.
Good luck with the search for the N560!

Hi all, I finally got my n560 it's awesome!
I have installed pocket FMS on it, it downloads the weather and everything, but it's not got great coverage for the Sanford area airports.. I think I will find it much more useful when I fly in the uk. Would you believe after all my trouble, I'm flying an aircraft kitted out with two aviation standard GPS units installed!
Thanks for all your help guys, I will tell you more (if you're interested!) about how it's working once I use it in UK.

Re: Loox N560
one year on... The N560 is an excellent machine, although no doubt you have all upgraded now to something much more up to date! I have used it for in car navigation with tomtom software, and aircraft navigation with PocketFMS very successfully!
Since contacting you all, I had a very productive year during which I got my first commercial airline job, this means I will be putting light aircraft flying on the back burner for a few years!
I will still use the N560 to run skype, and to play my music&videos&pictures and for in car navigation but I am sorely tempted by this IPhone from apple (though it lacks GPS receiver)
Thanks for all your help and sorry it took so long to update you all, but it was a busy year!

Re: Loox N560
Hi Comput1- good to hear from you again, and well done on the new job!
The N560 is still an excellent device and those of us who have upgraded have done so mainly to get integrated phone functions.
There are software updates for the 560 including WM6 which improve some aspects of the OS.
iPhone? Although initially impressive, it is a very poor contender unless iTunes is your primary use. No GPS, no 3G, no user accessible battery and no expandable memory plus a 'closed' OS
The HTC Touch Cruise is streets ahead and the new Sony X1 could be even better, but not available till the end of the year.
Does your Mum still have the N520?
