I've removed the links to the site for purchasing from the company under question.

Re: Loox N560
OK, I have dried my eyes now and I am back to where I started - using my old Palm T5 after the Loox N560 conked out. What can I replace the N560 with? I want a large VGA, Windows Mobile and GPS all in. The nearest thing is an HP214 with plug-in GPS. Are the CF plug-in GPS receivers any good?

Re: Loox N560
Thanks FB- and sorry to Mike if I've inadvertantly misled you into trading with a dubious site- I posted the link without looking into the company, as it was the only one offering that particular product. Interesting that the Product spec from Pharos' website is also now unavailable.
One tip, though- never EVER use Western Union for payments, as it is not at all secure and there is no comeback if things go wrong.

It's not your fault Neil - I was stupid. When I look back, I can see all the signs that I should have noticed:
prices significantly lower than anywhere else
unusual payment method: by cash, with a choice of $ or £ - to someone in Italy!
a grammar mistake in an email from them
It is easy to miss the signs when the mind is full of desire!

Hi FB,
It is very expensive (now I am £300 lighter!). I don't need the phone or the keyboard, and the screen is too small. I want to be able to easily read Word and Excel files (hence resolution) and use it as a SatNav on my dashboard (hence size).
If I were to change my mind and go for a phone, I could wait for the HTC Touch HD. However, these touch screens don't seem to suit everyone and there seem to be too many reports of having to reset them. I never had to reset my Loox at all in the 18 months I had it.
