Re: Loox T830
Have a nice day/night to everyone. Im just new here. Im looking for a great PDA/smartphone device and my eye catched my attention about your LOOX T830 and right after I read all reviews here about that device, my heart and mind says “oh! I wanted that great device” even though the screen is small compare to the standard screen size of a PDA. Maybe after a month or so…I will buy one. But before I buy that, I want to ask, does T830 support or suitable in the ffice:smarttags" />lace w:st="on">Philippineslace>? What I mean is the GPS nav system. Can I used the full capability of the T830 GPS when im in the lace w:st="on">Philippineslace>? How about the e-map of the lace w:st="on">Philippineslace>? By the way, I came from the Philippines and currently working here in lace w:st="on">Saudi Arabialace>. Anyway, thanks in advance for any response or enlightenment about my inquiries. And hopefully you can answer some or all of it and added something else that would encourage me more to buy and show me the worth of this device…ffice ffice" />>>

Thanks a lot again…>>

That's strange. i havent put any smiley in my recent post. But anyway, Im asking if LOOX T830 is
working in my country (Philippines). Does the GPS NAVSys working well too? and one more thing, LOOX T830
or SE P1i? What do you think is the best among this 2 devices? i think the only difference between this two is that
P1i has no GPS.
Thanks.

Re: Loox T830
Ah, ok. The GPS system, should work anywhere in the world. That said, in order to do routing you'll need to also buy some GPS software for your area.
As far as a comparison with the SE P1e, spec wise the devices are very similar. It looks like it boils down to the Symbian vs Microsoft operating systems and and the aesthetics of the device.
Personally I'd go Loox, but then I may be a touch biased......

Re: Loox T830
How about playing movie like .avi and other formats, is it possible to play that in T830 without any lag?

Re: Loox T830
It would depend on the bitrate and size of the file you're playing. If it's encoded to fit the device it should be fine, although you may need something like TCPMP to play it (free). If you're looking at playing 720p DVD rips then you'll probably have issues with the CPU power not to mention aspect ratio and the size of the image in letterbox format as it's a square screen. A standard 16:9 image would be quite small.
