Re: O2 Xda Orbit

After reading Darren's excellent and very helpful review I have taken the plunge and am now an owner of an O2 Orbit (replacing my Mio 168 and Sony Ericsson Z600.) I am very interested in the 3rd party application used by Darren - GPSce and the ordinance survey map he showed. Were there any problems with port sharing? I have TT6 Europe installed and I know from past experience that TT is reluctant to share coms ports. (I have a copy of Navios from my wife's iPaqrx7520 which I might try as an alternative). Does anyone know whether it is possible to save Google maps to use with a system like GPSce? I do have the Google map application loaded but am very wary of high gprs costs!

Re: O2 Xda Orbit

Daron not Darren

I had no issues at all using the other GPS related applications along side with TTNV5 or 6 when I tried them, all worked perfectly although of course I was not using them at the same time.

Talking Re: O2 Xda Orbit

Hi All,

After spending quite some time, I decided to take the plunge an upgrade to an XDA Orbit!

My First impressions of it are great, it appears to be somewhat better than I first anticipated!
For starters it comes with WM6, not WM5, It has also come bundled with Co-Pilot software, - Version 7 may I add, which was delivered 2 days after I took my XDA, and included the software on a 1gb microSD card and car suction mount and in-car charger!
I took it as an upgrade on my O2 contract of £35 per month, handset and all software was free!
