Eten Glofiish M700

And I notice that Eten have just announced that all of the Glofish models will be receiving free updates to Windows Mobile Version 6. That's pretty impressive and makes the M700 an even more attractive proposition.

Great news indeed, I might have to hold on to the M700 a bit longer after all

On the other hand, if you'd like a second opinion on the M700....

And to help me sort out part 2 of the review I have confined the TyTN to a drawer and will be going M700 only for a short time (depends how long I can live without the scroll wheel and OK button ).

Having finally gotten around to registering the phone on the Eten website I have found a couple of software "upgrade" downloads so I'll be investigating these also.

More bad news for the M700 as there is an issue with the phone when using on T-Mobile UK, in that the phone WILL NOT connect to GPRS (also apparently true of the X500). Paul over at Modaco reported on this in Feb 07 and has been in dialogue with E-Ten on the issue but still awaiting a fix.

I had been about to post on a positive note that E-Ten I have installed the WM6 upgrade for the M700 but as we recently switched to T-Mobile the Glofiish is now little more than a paper weight and unfortunately the WM6 upgrade doesn't solve this issue.

Ouch not good news at all, one would think E-Ten would get their finger out and resolve thse issues!

I suppose it kinda depends on how many they've sold to UK T-Mobile users!
