Re: T-Mobile Ameo (HTC Athena) Review
Great review Dave, echoes my thoughts pretty much. There are a few niggling things I've found.
1. I turn off my phone at night, but I can't seem to get it out of flight mode in the morning? Reboot does it - but a bit annoying. Does anyone else have this?
2. I've had a few problems with my stereo Bluetooth headset (Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970), both with calls and playing music via Pocket Player. This is perhaps more to do with Bluetooth. Anyway I've changed some registry settings and the new version of Pocket Player does seem to fix a few issues - most I hope. I'll let you know.
Other comments would be.. Yep it's a brick, but a well designed one that does fit in my jacket pocket. I do take it out with me... even on Saturday nights... jeez what do you guys do on a Saturday night? Evening of Northern Soul?
Even though I haven't quite got my OS X interface converted for this screen yet (Wisbar), what I do have looks bloomin' lovely...
Lots of good stuff in the box, (I agree they should include the multi-cable thingy - like the one from Expansys,) I tried the AntiVirus software but it seemed to make the machine unstable?.
If I were on the road, this and a copy of Conduits slide show software would be all I'd need. OK, perhaps an external keyboard and mouse. (By the way did anyone get the mouse pointer working with a usb mouse or have a driver?)
I've already filled my MicroDrive with FLAC files - sigh....and I may have to get another battery, which is a good sign as it means I'm using it a lot. Has anyone tried out the funky base stations yet?
I'll let you know if there is more. Roll on WM6 - there is going to be a WM6 for this?
