I can answer that one - as I already have the HT41 in Black and beige stripe - the belt loop is actually a closed strip of leather and is very secure - the case has to be fed onto the belt, and once there is very firmly held in place - the loop is double stiched onto the case at both ends. Personally I always prefer a captive loop rather than a metal reinforced clip - I have had a few occasions where the clip has come off the belt resulting in dropping the PPC.
Thats a nice review WD by the way. I have a couple of comments though.
The case can be ordered without a belt loop for people who prefer to keep their device in their bag.
The personalisation actually costs $10 and is not free. It is however IMHO worth having done. The personalisation is laser printed onto the inner lining of the flap so it is visible when opening the case.
The overall cost delivered to the UK with personalisation is $97 ($21 postage via FedEx). However, thanks to the 4Winmobile competition winnings of a $100 voucher this beauty cost me not a single cent!
The case is supplied with 3 integral slots for spare MiniSD cards.
The inside of the case can be lined with their standard black patterned material or AT NO extra charge nice soft leather. I went for the latter - and this will be essential if personalisation is selected for visibility of the name.
I agree with WD's comments regarding the need to use the machine out of the case - the biggest risk of dropping a PPC is I believe whilst you are getting it out of your pocket/case. However, until they come up with an iVolution case for this device - I am willing to put up with it.
