I'm not sure how to fix your problem, as I'm not an Outlook expert, but I suspect that reimorting your data from the backup.pst file has broken the Exchange settings.

As you probably know, using a hosted Exchange Server like 4SP means that your local system doesn't use *.pst files (if you have local cacheing enabled, then a local copy of your data is kept in your local settings/application data/microsoft/outlook folder with a *.ost extension).

My initial advice would be to create a new Email account, which will spawn the Email wizard, from where you should be able to specify Exchange Server settings. You can then disable send/receive on your previous account, copy over any new messages/contacts etc from the pst account to the Exchange account, then delete the older account.
Thanks for the quick response. As you can see, I'm "exchange-challenged"..... Anyway, I ended up having to delete about 7 mail profiles and an old ost file, then I was able to run the 4SP .prf file again just fine - it's syncing right now. This does look like a great option for me with my Cingular 8125.

A few questions though:
1) After the trial, if I decide NOT to sign up for a year, how do I get all of my mail, calendar, etc. back into a personal folder and go back to the way things were?

2) I know you said the "backups" will now be saved in an .ost file, but how would I re-import that if I had to re-install windows, etc.?

3) Why would I want to work "offline" on my home computer? This would simply make changes to my home pc without uploading them to the server until I connect again? Not sure why I would need to do this.

Silly questions I'm sure, but I'd appreciate any further thoughts.
