As many of you know, I've been taking my Touch Cruise out on my training walks recently. Last Saturday morning I was due to walk 20 miles and it was absolutely chucking it down as well as blowing a hoolie! Although the phone stays in a little pouch attached to the chest-strap of my camel-pack the pouch isn't waterproof and, in any case, I need to take it out to check my progress, fiddle with the MP3 player, read texts etc.
So, I stuck it in a zipper-style clear plastic sandwich bag. It didn't look particularly high-tech but it did the job perfectly. The phone was kept dry, I could read the screen fine, I could operate all the buttons and stab at the screen with a finger and I was even able to connect my external battery via a USB cable.
And, best of all, they are £2 for 50 at the supermarket. An absolute bargain
