Just thought I would let everyone know that I have now successfully upgraded to Newplow's version and the difference is significant.

Hi, i'm from germany. i have an n560 pocket loox n560 with windows mobile 5.0. I want it upgrade to windows mobile 6.0 or 6.1. Sorry my english is not the best. but it was very nice and helpful for me, if you can help and answer me! the informations in german language give not many informations to upgrade the n560. i search for a good step-to-step instruction how i can do the procedure. Thanks a lot for your help.

HURAAAAYYYYY! Another success. I have loox N560 in German. After many atemts to switch to english...... no success, but I changed firmware WM6.0 038 from english to german with ROMLang. Flashed in my Loox and.... surprise! My Loox has WM6.0 in English!!! (I don't speak at all Geman).

sorry for my english ! I flashed my Loox N560 with WM6.0.038 GPS instant and I have problems with my GPS : doesn't find any satellites !
I change again with WM50 = same problem
I change again with WM60.038 without GPS fix = same problem

And I search on the net (google rullez) and I dont find any sollution !

Can u help me please !

Hi T1ger,

It would be helpful if you provided some config details.

For example; if you go to Settings->System->External GPS what do you have configured?

You probably should have:

GPS Program Port: (None)
GPS Hardware Port: Com4
Baud Rate: 9600
Manage GPS automatically: Yes

Note that the com port used to be com8 before the updated firmware.

Once you can confirm that setup, then check that your GPS software is using the same config.

A final note, I have experienced software that gets the GPS hardware into a strange state where it powers on but doesn't provide a signal. The solution to that is to power off the N560 and remove the battery for a couple of minutes (a soft reset won't do it!).

Let me know if the above works for you or not.

Mine is working with GPS hardware port: com8. Look for the Start-settings-conections-beam- NOT to receive all incoming beams (unchecked). because IR port uses the same com port as GPS.
