Loox n560 and menu bar at the bottom?

I have just converted from an ipaq 4150 to the loox N560.

An excellent machine.

My only problem/copmplaint at the moment is the grey menu bars that appear at the bottom of ALL screens that change dependant of what programme is running.

Could somenoe tell me how to remove these please?

this is the only thing spoiling my enjoyment at the moment

These are the SoftKey menu items, and are an inherent part of the WM5 operating system.

As such, they can't be turned off. There are some utilities around which can disable these, but they don't reclaim the space.

There are other utilities which can remap the softkeys to something more appropriate for your own personal use.

OK- Pocket Informant actually has an Options item for using the original menu rather than the softkeys.

Glad you're sorted.

Welcome to 4WM by the way

Hi Timmy- I've played with WBA and WAD in the past and never really liked either- but then I was using a PE device, and they never quite got the notifications and volume controls right.

With the N560, which is a different class in terms of speed, and of course no phone functions, I might have another look!
