Vodafone PAYG 3G Dongle goalpost move

Apologies if someone else has already reported this - Vodafone caught me out, hence post

I already have a T-Mobi 3G dongle (monthly payment), but saw that Voda were offering PAYG dongles with no time-expiry on the £15 data purchase. This meant that it would make a good backup device, should my T-Mobi die or not work in a particular location.

It turns out that Vodafone have now unilaterally pulled the no time-expiry deal, so if you don't use the data within 30 days, it expires...

It would be nice to think that the widely advertised policy was not a temporary ploy to attract 3G users - though this Register article does make one pause for thought...

Re: Vodafone PAYG 3G Dongle goalpost move

OK, there may be some reason for optimism...

Having said that, I'm not really sure that any Mobi operator can keep track of ALL their tariff changes over all the years. The people selling the devices definitely can't...
