I have owned my orbit for approx 3 mnths and i totally happy with it compared to previous mobiles i have owned. When im at home and dont wish to turn my pc on can i use my home wifi signal to browse the internet on the orbit?
i am using bt's live box using the wep key provided on the rear of the router i have managed to connect the device to the router but every time i try to load internet explorer i get "page cannot be loaded due to connection being lost" I have watched the connection on the router using my laptop and cant see any problem so i can only assume i am missing a setting on the orbit. i have trawled forums and tek sites and help files/manuals and they all mention that they had no problem browsing the internet on home wifi networks but no mention of how this was achieved!
i would be gratefull if anyone could provide insite into this matter! thanks
I have tried moving the slider now but unfortunatly still no joy but thanks for the suggestion, i had seen the slider but hadnt tried it till you advised me to give it a go, im keeping the slider at the max until i get the connection issue sorted!
i have deleted the settings on the orbit for my wifi lan and tried setting up the connection again but im still only connecting to the router not the internet! i am begining to think i havnt done somthing on my homehub but any suggestions on what else i can check would be most appreciated
I had the same problem.I solved it by typing google.com in the address bar, this opened the google page and I selected this as default page.I`ve been able to connect to the internet ever since.
I agree totally with Donwilly because that is exactly what "did it for me".
