Orbit trackball problem.

Has anyone witnessed any problems with their trackball not working in certain directions when in mouse pointer mode.
I have just sold a used Orbit and the buyer has informed me that the trackball does not work in the upward direction but is ok from left to right and down.
To be honest I never used the trackball/mouse pointer as I never got on with it so it completely slipped my mind to even check that it worked properly.
If its of any interest the phone was updated to WM6 via the O2 website and I did a hard re-set before sending the phone out.
Are there any known issues with the trackball ?

I will obviously send the guy a full refund but was kinda hoping that maybe there is a calibration setting or something for the trackball but deep down inside Im thinking "if I did a hard re-set then everything should be ok".

I have suggested the buyer do another hard re-set and am awaiting the reply, refund at the ready.

I never had any issues with my trackball in mouse mode. It sounds like one of the contacts is either dirty or faulty.

It's a shame really as so few users do utilize the mouse mode.

If I was you I would ask the buyer if he would be willing to keep the device with a discount for the minor issue.

i did have problems with my orbit always going down via the trackball, however i sent it back to O2 and got a replacement so i don't know how you can overcome your issue, other than not using mouse mode!
