Where can I update from WM6.0 to WM6.1

Hello,

Firstly, would like to say hello to all, It has been a long time since I pass by, been doing other things.

Anyway, would like to know if i can and should update, and how of course. Thanks.

Also would like to add that I have windows vista home premiun 64 bit and when I sync my orbit it connects perfectly, but when i tell it to sync with outlook my contacts, tasks and calander, it does nothing. It says syn was performed correctly but contacts tasks and calander still the same. No sync between them. Would also like to say that I connected device before installing WMDC. I have tried installing again also uninstalling device from windows diveces.

Thought maybe upgrading to WM6.1 will fix the problem ??

Thanks again to all for help and comments.

Kind regards

Re: Where can I update from WM6.0 to WM6.1

Hi BilliBono, welcome to the wonderful world of illogical WMDC issues with Vista!

Many users are reporting a variety of issues but none appear to be the same!

First thing I would try is to remove all partnership data from the PC and remove the Partnership from the device under the ActiveSync/Menu options. Reboot PC and soft-reset the Orbit and try again.

As to WM6.1 ROMs, there are no official ones but XDA-Devs may have something in the Artemis Upgrading section of the forums. Have a good read BEFORE attempting anything as you will need to follow a set procedure by updating the SPL before the ROM.

Re: Where can I update from WM6.0 to WM6.1

Just had a thought, that I can't pursue as I'm not at my Vista PC.

I am sure when you set the options to sync calendar etc you then have to go into the settings in WMDC for Calendar and set the option for each of the partnerships.

If you can wait until this evening I can have a look into it.....

Re: Where can I update from WM6.0 to WM6.1

If you go into WDM when your orbit is connected and click on "Mobile Device Settings" you'll see the option of "change content sync settings" There maybe a setting in there under contacts and calander that needs adjusting.

Let us know how you get on

PS: an upgrade to 6.1 won't make any difference and unless you're a confident user, I wouldn't suggest you attempt an unofficial one.
