tomtom loosing favorites + home info on app close

bit of a respost but I'm desperate!

got my orbit yesterday - loving it.

but tomtom navigator 6 on yesterday (program files on phone, maps on storage card). Navigator works great, but everytime I exit the program it looses the favorites, recent journey and Home information, so that the next time I go into tomtom again I have to reset it up again...very frustrating.

Any ideas?

Hi Morgan. I had this problem and the following solved it for me;

Look for a file called mapsettings.cfg in TT6 (or greatbritain.cfg in TT5) in your map folder and you will probably find the file has managed to change itself to read only.

Copy the .cfg file to your PC, right click and choose properties, un-tick 'read-only' and apply/save.

Then copy it back to your map folder, replacing when asked.

Good luck.

Yes exactly so.

However I've just checked my wizard and in TT6 the file name seems to have changed to mapsettings.cfg

I just tested by deleting a favourite, copying the .cfg file back to the map folder on storage card, and the deleted favourite is back.
