Hi Roibaas- welcome to 4WM

Glad you like your Diamond! There are a growing number of us, and we all seem to love this phone more and more as we use it. Have you updated the ROM to get better performance/battery life?

Re: A true beauty!

Interesting spread of scores in your linked test site as well

Unsurprisingly, the mainstream PC titles score it very low, from a combination of extremely shallow, inexpert testing, being provided with early test samples by HTC, and I suspect a 'me-too' approach of blindly accepting Apples' hype over the iPhone. It's a shame the business oriented sites like PC Pro were too lazy to compare the 2 in proper business tasks.

Re: A true beauty!

I read a massive review of the Diamond vs Omnia at GSM Arena and almost plumped for the Diamond because of its VGA screen and overlaid OS but eventually persuaded myself to go for the Omnia for its larger screen, larger memory and 5MP camera. It's about time Windows Mobile had real competition between itself that leaves other overhyped devices behind; and two devices that each have their qualities that come down to personal choice. Unfortunately Orange have 4 weeks exclusivity of the Omnia and O2 are saying nothing about having it themselves (although I found one member of staff who said it was definitely coming but that was on a need to know basis). If only I could play with a Diamond until then....

Re: A true beauty!

If it helps I've not heard any word of the Omnia coming to O2 at all.

I have heard Orange and Vodafone for the Omnia, but no others at this time.

Re: A true beauty!

Yuk, I had use of one of these the other Day and I must say for a device that is nearly the same size as the iphone it was light to hold, The screen did not seem as good as the Diamond and the telescopic stylus that dandles from the side on a string (whatever) is not great design. Reminds me of the Prada

True, but they are available.

My friend is considering one as he finds his "podgy fingers" difficult to use for browsing with Safari.

But I couldn't give him any recommendations (I Google'd for the link above).

There are styli available for capacitive touch screens though
