HD2 Camera quality not bad at all!
Yesterday evening, as part of my birthday celebrations, we went to Cambridge Corn Exchange to see Paul Weller's last date on his current tour.
Forgot to take my compact camera, but did have the HD2 with me, so I took a few pictures and videos. The video quality is good overall but of course, the sound pressure levels of standing 6 feet from the stage totally overwhelmed the microphone.
However, I was impressed with the overall picture quality, considering the adverse effects of bright backstage lighting, and generally fast movement.
The auto-focus worked a treat- fast and accurate and the shutter delay is minimal- some blurring of course in some shots, but way ahead of any other HTC device I've used.
I have applied the camera fix from HTC.
Here's a few samples.

Re: HD2 Camera quality not bad at all!
A lot of 22 Dreams (which I'm not so keen on!) and couple from the next album, which are better then a mix of old Jam/Style Council and earlier solo stuff.
It was an excellent gig- Weller and Steve Craddock really sparking off each other! Getting right to the front in an small intimate venue was a real bonus!
Was getting a bit apprehensive about actually getting there thoug! Bought the tickets from Ebay, as the originals went on sale (and sold out) during out summer holiday. Reputable ebay seller but he bought his tickets from SeeTickets.
SeeTickets are the pits recently when it comes to sending out tickets- they time the dispatch for popular gigs so they arrive one day before the gig, so the recipient has no time to forward them. In my case, he lives in Cambridge so I was able to collect them in person, but during the summer some people buying V-Festival tickets didn't receive them till the 1st day of the festival, giving no time to travel for some people, even if they'd planned to camp the previous night

Re: HD2 Camera quality not bad at all!
that's an annoyance on the ticket front but probably done purposefully to deter touts, not that it will
i saw him a few years ago at the winter gardens in Margate and he played all the old classics from the jam, style council and his earlier solo stuff.
A few mates went to see him last week and said it wasn't a patch on the last time we all went as he didn't play any old stuff.
I've not treated myself to any of his newer stuff but as my brother always gives hmv vouchers for xmas i may grab a couple.

Re: HD2 Camera quality not bad at all!
HeHe- I like the bottom left one as well! Lighting and timing was just right. And before anyone comments, the others that have a 'pink tinge' are intentional- there was a lot of red/pink lighting around shining through the smoke
My HD2 does show a small 'pink' effect but not enough to be noticed by casual viewing, and more than compensated for by the overall picture quality!

Re: HD2 Camera quality not bad at all!
Looking good Neil, the HD2 camera is the best I have seen on an HTC device now the fix has been applied, seems better to me though in the 1.61 ROM where the camera fix is already installed for some strange reason, probably my imagination though!

As I say though it could just be my imagination, what do you think Paul?
