HTC HD2 appears on Orange Support pages!

After taking the Toshiba TG01 and then categorically denying their interest in taking the HTC HD2, Coolsmartphone have found a sneaky page on Orange UK support pages....

We know already that the rather spiffing HTC HD2 is available from T-Mobile, o2 and Vodafone here in 'old Blighty. Orange though, have always maintained that they won't be selling it.. but hey, what's this in their support section? A dedicated HD2 support page ?

Now, either Orange are really going out of their way to help people buying the unlocked one and using it on Orange, or they're about to launch it themselves. Let's hope it's that latter, and as usual keep it locked here to find out more

Oh, brilliant. Four weeks after leaving Orange because there was "nothing on the roadmap for Windows Mobile"......

Miffed doesn't even cover it. But the one saving grace is that I can be safe in the knowledge that, Orange being Orange, they'll bastardise the ROM and put their crippleware-menu on it....

Shame HardSPL doesn't work on the Orange ROM; Oh, but wait a minute

That was one big criticism of the Toshiba TG01. No-one had been able to device an SPL hack, so we were stuck with the Orange ROM. At least the Orange menu could be disabled, and there was no other custmisation on the device. It has much more memory than the HD2 so the Orange and Toshiba stuff didn't impact too much.
