Re: !! UPDATED !! 6 Button HTC Home plugin+all icons+coloured clocks in 1 package !!

I have moved you post into the correct thread, I am afraid there is no way of doing this as it has been asked before regarding TCPMP.

Re: !! UPDATED !! 6 Button HTC Home plugin+all icons+coloured clocks in 1 package !!

OK -all the various threads here and at XDA are getting a little tough to keep track of, but what I did was this:

I installed Schens tab setting version, because the weather tab is not much use (until/unless it can access soemthing like the BBC data), and neither is the profile one as I use Phone Alarm.
I then installed the new icons, transparency fix and new clock digits (didn't like the spotlight effect) so I have everything as I like it. But, lets face it, I am going to reflash soon and have to do it all again.

No problem I thought, I shall combine the cabs, cos lets face it the new icons, clock digits and transparency fix are just file replacements.

Off I went with cab manager, and just swapped in the files. When I ran the cab it came back as unsuccessful almost immediately. Hmmm. OK, lets try it fix by fix. So I went back to Schens cab, checked it worked, then added the transparency files into the cab, re ran it and it was unsuccessful. Then I ran out of time.
Before spend ages on this and risk the wrath of SWMBO, does anyone know of any reason why I cannot simply swap in the files into the original cab?

Cheers

C.

It is not that easy just to swap files you will have to make another cab file. It would be easier to store the cab files you need in the extended rom.

Just because I am slowly expanding my knowledge and would really like to know.....why can I not just substitute the files within cab manager and thus create a new cab? what am I doing in the manual process that is not done by doing it this way? If I was running an install for any of the icons I would understand that I must be missing soemthing, but as I am just literally copying and pasting files over other fiels in the HTCHome directory when taking the manual approach, I am confused as to why replacing them prior to install does not work.

Hmm, thought this would be a quick and easy time saver.

Re: !! UPDATED !! 6 Button HTC Home plugin+all icons+coloured clocks in 1 package !!

I've done it all to get this to work, but all I get is a blank field in my Today screen exactly the same size as the Home Plug-in. Nothing I do seem to get the Home Plug-in to show itself.

I've just updated to WM6 through HTC member site, and running Norwegian setup (and a newbie to boot.

Anybody got a tip? I really want to use this Plug-in.

Suffice to say it's not running Windows The only occasional glitch is when they're changing routers around with the data providers, and that's pretty rare.

Is there anyway to set the auto profile to switch at busy appointments only?
maybe a reg hack?

I have not heard of a shortcut or reg hack for that, I do not know if it is possible.
