I'm on Tmob uk and live in whitstable and work in canterbury. Gave this radio a bash and it is awful. It stated i had HSDPA in places there isn't and would not connect to the net as a result. In these places i always have decent gprs and could always connect before.

My conclusion is its not made for round these parts so i've gone back to 1.5.0 which i think came from tmobs test rom and works a treat.

Ooooops! I thought I was running this 1.51 radio version on my Hermes as stated in my previous post but I just checked and it was 1.50, that is what you get for flashing too many roms and radios. That explains why in my last post I did not notice any difference between the two!

I have now flashed the 1.51 radio version and already it looks extremely poor with no signal bars showing at all, when I usually have the maximum. If there is no improvement by tomorrow it has got to go.

I have gone back to 1.50.
1.51 would connect to 3G/Edge/GPRS but it wouldnt actually goto sites and get weather info, etc.

And now it works... well at work it works, it connects 3G then flicks to H then after its done back to 3G

correction... HSDPA works, 3G doesnt work, GPRS works, cant test Edge

I think fixed format replies would be useful to compare countries/operators.

Here are mine:-

Previous Radio Version: 1.47
Country: UK
Operator: Vodafone
GSM: OK. Same as 1.47
3G: OK. Same as 1.47
HSDPA: OK
Internet access: OK
Battery life: looks OK so far (12 hours since upgrade)
Comments: Running OK for me so won't be downgrading the radio

Country: UK
Operator: T-Mobile
GSM: OK. Same as 1.50
3G: Intermittent
HSDPA: Intermittent
Internet access: Intermittent
Battery life: lonly had it on for about 10 minutes and then flashed back to 1.50
Comments: Wouldnt recommend for T-Mobile UK users, stick with 1.50 which for me has been the best of the bunch so far.

Working great in Sydney AUS, with great battery life and good reception. Calls seem a little less lagged than the previous radio 1.50.0

I am glad that someone gets on with this radio version, I found it was the worst I have ever tried here in the UK!
