HTC Touch Cube
A new entry has been added to Links and Downloads Manager
Description: This is the best available working version of the HTC Touch Cube. It is a simple cab file install, and should work on most WM6 devices.
All credits go to Duttythroy, Raven_coda & Kona_Mtbkr at xda-developers.
To post your comments or thoughts please go to the 4WM thread for it HERE (!!! HTC Touch Cube should work on any WM6 device - cabfile !!!)
This a link to the file!

Re: HTC Touch Cube
Ok, maybe I am missing something due to having no instructions with this, but when I finally got the 'cube' to appear it showed a media face, a contacts/phone face and a face with 6 apps on it. Now its a few years since I went to school but by my reckoning its 3 sides short of being a cube.
Nor can I see how to configure it - any one offer any advice?

Re: HTC Touch Cube
Hi Terry. Welcome to 4WM.....
I just installed this on my Orbit. To configure, tap on one of the blanked out squares and it will then take you to the appropriate element to install. E.g., under the contacts app, you get shown your list of contacts to assign individuals to available squares etc.

Re: HTC Touch Cube
Hi Tonybro and thanks for the warm welcome and quick reply. I figured out how to add contacts, that was pretty straight forward. I just thought it might be more customisable than it is and being called a cube, have 6 useful sides, not 3. Maybe it should be called the HTC toblerone?
For anyone interested there is an almost identical but far better program out there called touch commander.
Find it as a trial here:
Touch Commander
You can change the apps, change the number of tiles on a screen, add new screens and create yor own sub menus.
let me know what you think (I'm not anything to do with it before you ask, just think its pretty cool)
Terry

Re: HTC Touch Cube
Thanks Terry...
I've tried Touch Commander, we had a thread about it a while ago and I found it to be the better of the two. I'm just not sold on the interface when you still have to get the stylus out at some point. Handy for some quick tasks but that's it!

Hey Tonybro,
What do you need the stylus for on the touch comander?? I was almost going to take the plunge and buy this as the finished development of other seem to be taking longer than I was going to wait . I don't think I would be inbterested if it was dependabt on stylus input, it defeats the purpose IMO!
Thanks
Gem
PS- some screen shots of the examples on both apps would be GREAT, especialy the stylus input screens showing why .

Re: HTC Touch Cube
Hey Gem, you don't need the stylus for these apps per se, you need it when you have selected say an appointment and you want to edit or add a contact etc.
The point I am making is MY use of my device is quite interactive where I am adding, deleting and editing things and the touch interfaces available only go so far before I have to get the stylus out so I might as well use it from the start.

Re: HTC Touch Cube
A bit confused. Installed on my TyTN running BlackX and 6 button HTC home. After a soft reset I don't see any cube? When I go the the install folder, and click on the appz it says that its already running? How do I see the cube? TIA

Re: HTC Touch Cube
You just need to swipe your finger or nail from the bottom to the top of the screen and it will appear, and vice versa to exit. Swipe left or right to turn the cube.
