Keyboard problem during call

Hope this is in the right place, but couldn't see a better place for it.

During an incoming or outgoing call I can not use the keyboard properly. It seems as if the 'dot' key is depressed only when I type on the YUIHJKBNM keys, giving the alternative number values instead, ie typing "thanks" would give "t4a86s". I have tried pressing all the shift keys but can not get the characters to appear. It is like have num loack activated on a laptop. If I go back to the note after the call has ended, then everything is normal.
I used to use the 'note' function during calls for taking down info, which was very useful on my old mda vario11. I am currently using an spv m3100 and have found this is true for all keyboard input applications i.e Word, it doesn't matter if BT is used or not.

Is this just a Black Satin wierdness or is there a registry hack. Obvioulsy, as I just reflashed, I am running the latest Satin version.
This has been very annoying for ages, so any suggestions would be very gratefully received.

Well, it seems as though you have just fallen victim to the infamous numlock in call issue... it has been discussed rather frequently in this and other forums across the internet... As I recall, the only way to fix it is to have it fixed in the rom whilst cooking it... there are several roms (later than Black Satin, which I absolutely loved) that addresses this issue... If this is a show stopper for you, then you will have to flash one of the later roms.. Sorry that I couldn't provide a simple cab for you to install, but such is life... Sorry, I cannot spell C'est La Vie... (Hells Bells, is that right??)

I know that Schaps 4.22 and Shamanix Grass v2.2 both resolved this issue... Shamanix's roms are usually based upon the ones by Schaps...

I saw this thread and was hoping there would be an easy answer. This puts me in quite a predicament, I am quite parshall to satin, however it would be vary useful to be able to talk on the phone and sms/email too. Oh well, I guess you really cant have everything.
