Question Divx Encoder Help

I've been trying unsuccessfully for some time to easily convert movies to put on my TYTN using Pocket Divx Encoder... not working very well. The program crashes every time i use it... sometimes it seems to still encode the file but am always getting error messages/crashes... very frustrating... Anyone tell me how to fix this or is there another program free or for purchase that will do the job. (tried trial of Pocket DVD studio but audio sync is always out).

Am using Windows Vista home edition

here is my error with pocket divx:

Re: Divx Encoder Help

Sounds like you're having fun! Just try deleting it from your desktop as it runs from there, download a fresh copy and retry. It sounds like a corrupt download file I have no problems running it on Vista Ultimate. Hope that helps.

Re: Divx Encoder Help

Thx Boz. Yeah, it's been fun

I deleted program and reinstalled. Upon selecting download I realized that I originally downloaded the Stable version (0.3.60 - 2006.08.01); this time I tried Testing version (0.3.96 - 2007.05.04) and it's working like a charm so far. thx for the advice and response.

I also have a TCPMP question but will put in appropriate thread. appreciate if you could have a look if you have a moment... likely a setting problem.

thx.
