On Cingular/AT&T ive seen LOTS and LOTS of problems when connecting over the air to services (http or sync etc..) perhaps you should delete your settings and use the connection setup wizard to get your settings....it may configure the proxy properly for it???

Install it, soft reset and allow it to autodetect your carrier...it will prompt you through the rest.

Well, given the obvious complexity of the setup, it may be that it will not work via WM6... I have that problem with my primary place of employment and had to resort to a free service called emoze... you can get it from emoze Free Push email, mobile email software for mobile devices.. Now, that works flawlessly with one exception, it adds a footer at the end of the email saying that "I use emoze as my mobile email, get it free at..." If that won't be a problem for you, then it is a great service (free)...

Thanks for the info about emoze. Can not use it though - we are under Strict HIPPA regulations here!

After looking at my syslogs for my firewall, I'm thinking the WM6 is trying to connect on a non-standard port. I will re-upgrade today and watch the activity and see. I will run tcpdump on my LTMs and see what is coming in.

MrVanx - I tried the connection setup wizzard - still no change.
I was able to capture some of the information on the connection - it is getting to the correct place but it seems to have an issue with our Certificate.
I can see where the Emal server answers and responds with the cert information but that is where we get a FIN ACK and the whole process dies.

Downgrading to WM5 again - may have to go back to the BlackBerry!

Which certificates are you using? A lot of people have had issues with certs. Have you installed both the root and intermediate certs?

I have installed the intermediate cert - however I did not install the root cert.
The funny thing is I was able to get it to sync 1 time while connected to a PC that was outside of our network across the Internet - but only 1 time then even that failed.

What root cert would I need to install?
The cert we have is signed by Equifax.

From memory I think you'll need to install all the intermediate certs in the chain.

I am not sure what all cert's I need to get - or how to get them.
I did what I found on another site by logging into OWA and copied the cert then exported to the correct format, then imported the cert as an intermediate. I see Equifax is in the root certs that are installed with the WM6 ROM.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
