Thanks for that boz,

It seemed to upload it fine and it is now showing vodafone in the connection details, but I still can't get on the web or email, I'm not sure were i'm going wrong, maybe it's my Voda account? with my P990i i used to attch via the Vodafone business connection or the vodafone internet connection, which i'm not sure was just a straight forward dial up system? if so, do you know the connection details for these?

No problem mate, your best bet would be to ring Vodafone tell them you are using one of their v1615 devices, which is the Orange equivilent, and get the settings sent to your phone by them.

Hi boz,

I spoke with Vodafone, but they told me they could only help me when I got the firmware back to the original HTC rom. Will the download at the begining of this thread (you posted back in September) do this in conjuction with the firmware remover on the XDA developer forum site?

This is the link I was looking at, unless I have completely mis understood this Hard spl removes the old rom and then you have to replace it with a new one (which I hoping to find the original HTC Kaiser version?

Hi again, no that is not the thread you really need, my advice is look at the Kaiser thread I posted on Hard SPL and the instructions for it in the main post. That will give you the links you need. Basically now you have you device unlocked you need to install Hard SPL and then soft reset, and install the rom in this thread if that is the one you want to use as it is the original HTC rom. If you need to return your device for repair then there is an Orange UK rom available to put back on HERE

HERE (!! Flash any rom to your Kaiser with Hard SPL v1 !!)

Thanks for that, I downloaded the HARD SPL and that worked (I think) no white screen probs or any thing, now I have down loaded the other file with the original HTC Rom on, which is a .rar file, where do I put it (I asume I don't run it from my pc desk top?) do I transfer it straight into the phone and if so, where do I put it?

I now eagerly await your kind response.

Assuming hard SPL has loaded properly, you need to open the rom rar file and drag and drop its contents to your desktop, which should be one big file that looks blue with arrows pointing down in it. Now connect you device via activesync and double tap on the rom to run it from your desktop and follow the given instructions.

I just bought my Orange TyTN II, and I'm expecting delivery any day, but my friend in England, who bought on ebay, told me it was locked to Orange. As I am from Kosovo, and intend to use it here, could you tell me how you managed to unlock your phone? Thanks a lot, this is my first ever PDA, so I really know nothing of them.
