Just got my TYTN II from orange but have unlocked to use vodafone. Can I go ahead and flash a new ROM or I have heard something mentioned about a CID lock?

If you have unlocked you phone run Hard SPL v1 onto it, this is the CID unlocker that alllows you to flash any rom from any carrier onto you device. CID means Carrier Identification, hope that helps.

I just flashed Hard SPL v! to my TILT. Had no problems with the flash and indicates that Hard SPL is now installed.
When I turn on the TILT I get a message that says that the SIM cannot be found and the phone will not function. Does anybody have any ideas on what I may have done wrong?

Try a hard reset and that will probably do the trick.

That did the trick (after i figured out which combination of buttons does the HARD reset, the information from AT&T really sucks!!!!!)
Donated 5 GBP to the site. Now I just have to work up the courage to install the HTC ROM over the AT&T crap that came on the phone. |

Phew glad it worked out for you!
Thanks for the donation it is much appreciated, the running costs for the site are sky high and all money is ploughed back in for improvements and upgrades.
Now you have Hard SPL installed you are free to upgrade to whatever takes your fancy.

Okay, so now I've got HARD SPL installed and I have downloaded the ROM that I want to install.
So is it 'KaiserCustomRUU' that I run on my desktop computer to actually flash the ROM to the TILT (Kaiser) and select the new ROM  ? Or do I just directly execute 'Schaps_WM6Pro_Kaiser_4[1].31_WWE_Full.exe' from the desktop (looks to be the answer, but I'm not sure)?
I know that I'll catch on to all of this someday,  but right now it's still a little strange. |

Hi, you need to run the 'Schaps_WM6Pro_Kaiser_4[1].31_WWE_Full.exe' on your desktop while connected to activesync.

I have a HTC TYTNII on an Orange contract, unforturnately the original HTC ROM is replaced with Oranges own but its rubbish and I want to change back.
I have no idea where to start and this is my first Pocket PC.
Can anyone give me a step by step "idiot guide" to change it back?
