With the description of the charging problem, I'm wondering if you have a bad cable. Any chance you can borrow a different cable to try, possibly from a shop if that's where you go the Kaiser?

Re: htc kaiser tytn Iis not recognized by active sync
Hi Tymyung- welcome to 4WM!
As Cyclist says, this seems to be a hardware problem. Can you charge your device from the mains charger?
Had you not had the charging issue, it may have suggested a driver fault in A/S- this can sometimes be got over by going to Settings/Connections/USB to PC and unticking the 'Enable Advanced Network....' checkbox. This forces A/S back to standard USB rather than the faster but more picky RNDIS network protocol.

Re: htc kaiser tytn Iis not recognized by active sync
Can I continue using this thread? I have the same problem. I've tried all that was suggested and they didn't work. I plugged my girlfriend's Dash and it connected right away. I've tried a few different usb cables and even on a different computer and still doesn't work.

Re: htc kaiser tytn Iis not recognized by active sync
Hi, & welcome to 4WM!
As you have tried different cables, and a different PC, plus your gf's Dash sync's OK, it suggests the problem lies at the Kaiser end (I assume Activesync was correctly set up on the other PC before yo connected?)
Your options are remove the partnerships from the Kaiser, or do a hard reset (back to factory state) and try again.
To remove partnerships, open A/S on the Kaiser and tap Menu/Options. Set the Cursor on any list header (Windows PC, Windows PC2 etc) then tap Delete. Do this for all partnerships (there may only be the one). Now press & hold the power button for 5 seconds to get the forced close message, and shut down. Hold the button again to restart, then once all is stable and you are at the Home Sceen, retry the cable connection.
I that won't work, then a hard reset is required, which does lose all you data so make sure anyimportant info is backed up. Again, once stable, retry the connection. I that still fails, it indicates a harware fault with the USB socket or motherboard.

You'll need to use a backup program. Sprite Backup and SpB Backup seem to be the most highly rated.
