XDA Stellar / Exchange Sync Issue

Hi guys,

I’m new here and in need of help.

I’ve recently upgraded our work server to Exchange 2003. I can happily synchronise my XDA Stellar with my PC but I can’t synchronise with my Exchange server. If I try and synchronise remotely (by inputting my Outlook Web Access address) then ActiveSync seems to drop the https:// part of the address.

I.e.:

I input https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/exhange (in the server address section)

I click next

It drops the https:// and the /exchange part and I’m just left with the server IP Address. It would almost seem like ActiveSync is treating the server address as an internal IP address (does that make sense)?

To compound matters, if I try and sync via my USB cable then I get a message saying “Connection Problem – Attention Needed” with the following error code:

85020006

I know I’m connected because I can synchronise with PC and can browse my Stellar.

I’ve searched around the web and it would seem that this seems to be a common problem between ActiveSync and WM6 but, as of yet, there doesn’t seem to be a fix.

Does anyone know of a fix?

The problem I have is that I can’t sync locally or remotely i.e. I’m stuck!

I’m willing to wait for a local sync resolution but surely there must be some way of me synching remotely? I’ve also heard that certificate errors on OWA sites can sometimes cause problems but I haven’t even reached that stage yet.

Can anyone help?

Re: XDA Stellar / Exchange Sync Issue

Don't know if this helps

Re: XDA Stellar / Exchange Sync Issue

Enlli is correct.

If you connect OWA to https://www.myexchange.com/exchange all you need to enter in your EAS settings is Business & Money Resources. Make sure you leave the SSL box checked and it will automatically use https. EAS will take care of the rest.
