Re: No GPS
You don't need to enable/disable GPS, as it switches automatically on demand.
You do need to point TomTom at the correct COM port however. If you look in Start/Settings/System/External GPS on the device, it should show which Program Port the GPS is assigned to. Make a note of it, then start TomTom.
Now open the GPS screen, and select Configure. Select 'Other NMEA Receiver' (NOT Other NMEA Bluetooth Receiver!), 4800 Baud and then you are taken to the Ports screen. Select the Port you noted from the previous step (it may already be selected and highlighted Blue at the top of the list, but you still need to tap it to select in this screen); If successful, you should then be able to return to the main TomTom screen, where after about 20-30 seconds the dialogue should change to 'No Valid (or Waiting for Valid) GPS Signal' which confirms the connection is working. You now need to go outside in clear air for up to 15 minutes to get a 1st fix.
If the dialogie continues to show 'No Valid GPS Device' there may be a fault in the GPS setup.
