Re: What security measures do you use on my mobile?
I have the PIN on by default, as I use a corporate exchange server which enforces the policy. While it was a pain at first, I've gotten used to it now and it doesn't really cause me a problem any more. Only way around it I guess is a hardware full reset, but anything on the storage card would be intact unless encrypted with a program such as PocketSecure.

But would that happen if it were locked ?

Activesync would ask for the pin code or password to entered on the PC upon connecting the device. The screen-lock today item doesn't offer that level of protection though, just the password setup does.

Re: What security measures do you use on my mobile?
Did anyone see 'the Great Mobile Phone Rip-Off' on UK TV last night? It looks as though daylight robbery is not a term which should be confined to describing muggers and bandits.
For me, the most outrageous item in the film was the piece about how the british government conspired with the mobile phone companies conspired to bloc efforts by the EU commissioner to lower EU roaming charges to a much, much lower level.
The information about the mark up on texting was also an eye opener.

Re: What security measures do you use on my mobile?
here you go - a related article from Nick Starr's Twits on Twitter:
"...The price for one text message is 15 cents with Verizion to send what works out to 140 bytes of data. Under their wireless data plan 1024 bytes of data work out to only 1.5 cents. Doing a little bit of math, the price increase from a text message to a simple data request is increased 7314%. ..."

Wow as per usual I'm in the wrong business! As for security ashamed to say nothing here, same reason as others I don't want the inconvieience of extra screen taps when starting you although with Cyc's comment re having PS only come on at soft reset that may be time to visit this software.

What you've also got to appreciate is that there is also a considerable profit in their data plan too. So the actual profit margin must be astronomical!
