My full recipe is:
1) Pocket Secure Lock n Shut used manually to lock and turn off device every time it is left somewhere like locker at the gym while showering or swimming
2) Pocket Secure set to automatically lock on every soft reset
3) daily scheduled backup triggers daily soft reset
4) encrypt sensitive data files using Pocket Secure
This provides a compromise I'm comfortable with between risk to my data for a maximum of one day and having to enter the password too often.

2Neilm, Fowljr & Cyclist..... Thanks for your support!

@Saki,

Pocket Secure has many features far beyond the standard lock! Using different combinations of features will give different levels of security as desired.

The program currently can "lock-out" ActiveSync when armed, and to give away some new features from the upcoming v5, user chosen text can now be displayed on the password screen for additional owner info besides the owner info on the About screen, and the password can be disabled so that the user can enjoy the screen protection feature, Slide Show and others when security is not a big issue. In this case, 2 taps can unlock the device!

So you may want to give PS a try. The trial is full featured, so you can use everything in it to decide!

Re: What security measures do you use on my mobile?

Hi,

I use both a SIM pin and a pin lock, but with long time-outs so I'm not entering the password too often.

The unit is always with me, but being paranoid about scratching the screen/it dropping out of my pocket, I use the carry case and clip it to my belt. Not so easy to hide it now it's getting warm.

If your phone is confirmed lost, report it to the police and your phone operator immediately. After that point, you're (usually) not liable for any calls made, but you might still be liable for any usage preceding that point.

A pin lock saved my last phone after a car crash. The people who found it tried to use it but no luck as the pin prevented it. They ended up returning the handset!! I'll never know if they were being honest or not.

Best regards,
TyTN-II.
