Re: Could anyone help me with my new orange Tytn II

To be honest you'd be better to convert it to wav. That's the default ring type for windows mobile devices.

The reason I ask is that mostly I'll be using this in the evenings and at weekends, Orange have a deal for £5 a month they offer unlimited weekend data so it might be worth my while to get that on top of my data bundle. Suppose I'll know by the end of the month anyway!
That is a lot of data, takes quite a long time to download that much. Unless you are viewing tons and tons of RSS feeds with pictures or downloading email with big enclosures or spending hours web browsing it will be hard to exceed that. Do Orange have a way to check your usage as you go? On T Mobile I can log in to the website and see how much I've used.

Orange have a link in Favourites in Pocket Internet Explorer to take you to OrangeWorld, from where you can check all your allowances and usage under My Account.

Unfortunately, Orange only allow you to have one data bundle subscription, so if you have the 250MB anytime allowance, you can't have the £5 Unlimited one as well.

However, 250MB should be sufficient for most use. I only use mine for email/RSS/moderate web browsing, and still keep within my paltry 30MB per month allowance.

I think I'm a heavy user, and my highest month so far is about 238 Mb, including a lot of podcasts.

Re: Could anyone help me with my new orange Tytn II

Sorry for the delay but I was wondering if the orange world access is free or does that get taken from the 250mb too?

I have been reading a few posts and I got the impression that some people were getting the access to orange content without paying as long as they didn't go onto the internet, so to speak.

Browsing from PIE into OrangeWorld is free, but as it is text only anyway, the data use would be minimal. So, you can check your allowances, usage, settings etc free of charge, but you would be paying for any content you access- Entertainment, Ringtones, News Clips etc.
