Activesync easy access

hi i have strange requirment, and i am sure there must be some workaround. i use exchange and push technology on HTC TYTN II, when i am not in office i receive emails in "as item arrive" mode, and when i reach office i dont want emails, as i am in office and on my laptop, so during that time i dont want the messages to come on mobile or may be can be for 30 mins sync time instead of as item arrive. as it drains my battery quite fast if i keep as item arrive setting in activesync.

Now, i might go out for lunch or some meeting , while i want emails to be received on my mobile as they arrrive.
i know to do this, i can go to activesync eveytime and change the setting. but its not handy.

is there any software in which we can change the settings with just couple of clicks. like we change profile [ i tried spb , and they have excellent profile changing] very easy to change instead of everytime adjusting volume.

so is there any software in which i can change the active sync settings with more userfiendly GUI, or kind of activesync profile [in which i can adjust the time i should sync with my outlook].

would appreciate the help. Thanks again.

Hi Rikindshah, I think the easiest way to do what you are trying to achieve is to go into comm manager and turn off either the data connection (as long as you don't have other things that need data running. If so just turn off Microsoft direct push).

hi, thanks, but that will totally stop the push [data connection] which i dont want, i want them to sync atleast at 30 mins, as apart from email my calander etc. also sync.

also do you know how to sync the notes and tasks?

The problem is, that even if you stop the email coming down, the data connection will still be active, so I'm not sure what benefits you'll see from a battery perspective.

You can't sync notes over the air with the default setup. There are a couple of workarounds though. Check this out:

As for Tasks, that should be one of the default options to sync when you connect to your Exchange server.
