Just found another one, not as high capacity but half the price!

Re: Best Battery – V6.1, 3G, HSDPA???
I saw this one as well - there are 5 or 6 out there on the market. However, this one is slightly larger than the one I suggested, and I was again worried about extra pocket bulges (fnaar fnar).
I also looked at the small ones that took a single AA to charge phones as they looked nice and small. But I kept seeing that they got mixed reviews about the charge effect (a lot of reviews saying the phone used the charge quicker than the device added charge) and a few saying that charging by USB was hopeless, so went with the (hopefully) more resillant device.
When oh when will they (a) invent a standard way of charging EVERYTHING (my kitchen draw is stuffed with multiple chargers) and (b) cold fusion pocket reactors so that we can add charge by sticking them under the tap?

Re: Best Battery – V6.1, 3G, HSDPA???
Never been convinced about those little ones that run of a couple of AA's, sounds like a waist of battery's to me. Rechargeable pack is the way to go for sure.
I know just what you mean about power adaptors, it really beyond a joke these days! At least there seems to be more stuff coming along with mini usb connectors for charging now. That said, my wife's Motorola Razr V3 (crap phone!) has mini usb, but will only charge from the moto charger and not the PC or my kaiser charger! End up having to take 2 chargers with the same end on both on holiday rather than just the one.
Its the only thing thats putting me off the i-UP 5400 to be honest as i cant see a way to charge it from usb on the pc, it has yet another adaptor!

Hmmmm, I don't recall any issues from previous use of 1.23. I'll take a look!

Re: Best Battery – V6.1, 3G, HSDPA???
I bought one of Maplin's special offers earlier this year- for £10 but can't find any current reference to it. It's the same size as small mibile phone, has a 2000mAHr battery and a mini USB port for charging via adapter or PC then connecting to one of the supplied jacks to charge a device (has Nokia, SE, Samsung and miniUSB plus female std USB ends) Works a treat and will charge my Sammy phone twice, or my Ameo once. If you can find one, I'd recommenf it

The Maplin Power Pack is on line again at £9.99. Photo shows mine next to my HTC Trinity.
