Soft keyboard problems

I am having a lot of trouble with my keyboard and SIP. If I try to use any soft keyboard other than the standard one, it always jumps back to the standard. For example, I can start a new email or sms message, I click the SIP icon to change to another input method. If I pick any of the built in stuff, such as transcriber, or anything else, no problem. if I select an alternate soft keyboard, it always pops back up to the standard keyboard.

If I go into the settings and modify the SIP to any of the other soft keyboards, after you close and reopen the SIP settings, it is always back to the standard keyboard. I have tried about 4 of the soft keyboard products with the same results. Any ideas?

Has this always happened or started recently?
Do you have any other programs installed that do anything to SIPs, like any dictionaries, security programs with their own input method, tweak programs like Tweaks2k or SK Tools?
I'm thinking you probably have some piece of software that is causing this, but it isn't the SIP itself given that 4 keyboards do the same thing. List your installed programs for us and we'll see if we can spot a candidate.
