t-Mobile PIN2

Hi,

Does anyone know what the default PIN2 is on the handset? I have 1 attempt remaining.

WHat is the situation if it is locked-out?

Best regards,
TyTN II.

Re: t-Mobile PIN2

Hi TyTn-II,

I can't help you with the answer but would love to know why you need it.....

I have never, ever, needed it and often wondered what purpose it served.

I've just done a quick google on it and it indicates its for fixed dialling and a few other bits. I also saw the default was 5678 but I would seriously check this out further before trying it as I haven't investigated deeply! My search criterion was 'PIN2 on T-Mobile' if that helps.....

Re: t-Mobile PIN2

just to let you know, the PIN2 is SIM dependant as well.
it is 5678 with TMobile UK.

If you enter it wrong (or it has changed from 567, it will request a PUK2 from you.

To get this PUK2 code, you need to contact TMobile customer services.

DON'T try to enter PUK or PUK2 yourself as you will end up locking up your SIM, perhaps the device or both!

Re: t-Mobile PIN2

Well, I can tell you it wasn't 5678, and now it wants PUK2!!

Nothing personal! It wasn't like I knew it anyway...

Off to call customer services (if they work this hour? EDIT: No - 7AM to 10PM)

There are 10 attempts at PUK2.

What happened to the days of supplying the PUK codes on a sheet of paper???

Best regards,
TyTN II.

Re: t-Mobile PIN2

just for reference, it's worth asking them for your PUK code at the same time.
The PUK and PUK2 are specific to your SIM - so I always ask for them as soon as I get a new SIM - saves having to call customer services in the middle of the night

Good luck!

Re: t-Mobile PIN2

Well done- now make a note of them somewhere safe- not on the device itself
