Question: all my contacts are gone

hi everybody
this is my first post in this forum , iwish it was a positive one , but unfortunatly ,i just had a serious probleme.
i have an HTC TILT -at&t ( unlocked ).
i did what i shouldnt do ,and it was ,
setting - system - clear storage
and you knwo the result , i lost everything
the real problem is that i didnt back up the files ,infos , contacts ... before doing this , it's my 3rd day with this pocket pc.
anyway i lost about 430 contacts and they are very important.
i really need your help to find a solution for that problem , and if there is a softawre that recover those infos that were stored into the phone .
nb : i didnt synchronized the pocket pc with my pc , so there is no backup in my pc ,nothing at all (i never connected the tilt to my pc before).

My question is that if you have only had the phone 3 days how did you get that many contacts loaded. Can you not go back to the original source?

those contacts were on my nokia 3110c ,
1-cut -past contacts from the nokia to thesim card
2-cut -past contacts from the sim card to the htc kaiser
i was a dumb when i did a cut ,not just copy , so the contacts were cutted from the nokia (deleted),and cutted from the sim card (deleted) once they were copied to the htc kaiser.
any suggestion please?

Oops - My guess is the only recovery maybe from the SIM card and I would investigate that route.

There is no softwaqre solution- Clear Storage does just that- it totally wipes the internal memory, and currently there are no recovery procedures for ROM based storage.

Once you have your data back on the device, assuming you can locate another source, or by re-entering, then you need a backup program (and use it!); for simple contacts/calendar backup etc, look at PIMBackup; for a fuller backup look at SpB BAckup and Sprite BAckup.

Oh- and try to read the screens that pop up when you attempt a potentially dangerous action- the Clear Storage screen does warn that ALL data will be lost!
