Not really fair to comment as ive only used wm smartphones in the past and im not liking not having a keypad.
Im struggling to to tell what the windows button and OK button do all they seem to do is bring you back to home screen. It certainly looks and feels nice although im not mad keen on the buttons around the sides they dont have a very positive feel.

Im just looking round at the moment for a few programs to get it working as i like. Need a calendar on the front screen, timed profile switching, a better soft keyboard etc and then i can get the rest of my junk onto it.

Okay James let us know once you are used to it, I think it is a great device and I am sure once you get the hang of it you will love it.

Re: Orbit 2 is NOT launching tomorrow

The O2 shops never get it right, it will be next week online. They had limited stock yesterday and the next stock should be available in the coming week.

James - have you tried the Touch Keyboard or Pad ? The latter works just like a Smartphone key pad.

When the keyboard icon shows at the bottom of the screen , tap the little arrow to its right to change the keyboard

Re: Orbit 2 is NOT launching tomorrow

The official line from O2 is available to the corporate customer from Monday, and the public from the Monday after.

Re: Orbit 2 is NOT launching tomorrow

Listed today at: O2 - Error Occurred

- which frankly does not surprise me.... whoever looks after o2's website/webcomms (and ebilling) should have been fired long ago - a) to make any change they seem to have to take the entire mini site down, leaving only a crappy 'too busy' notice, b) when the ORbit 2 was first announced the copy was factually incorrect and - honestly - looked like it had been written by a schoolkid on work-placement (about five spelling errors).

Did you realise it had a 2mp camera, not a a3mp? (ho,ho)

??? - where did the o2 Rate Simplification news item go? - came back to print it out, but can't find it now.

Thanks

Re: Orbit 2 is NOT launching tomorrow

This is typical of O2's web announcements.

As well as the mistake in the camera specs, it is listed as have Windows Mobile 5

Re: Orbit 2 is NOT launching tomorrow

Sounds like they copied and pasted the specs from the original Orbit.

Hi Neil yep i found the touch keypad and not too keen on it, it takes a lot of space up but its better than the standard one.

Ive found a few bugs too

The O2 calendar today plugin doent work at all.

When trying to edit an appointment with touch keyboard it will only enter numbers even from the querty board. If i change to the standard windows keyboard it works OK. I havent noticed this happen anywhere else with the touch keyboard.
