Thanks for the reply. So I went out and tried being a circus stronman as you suggested. And it worked ! But I felt like I was going to break it in two. ...
hehehehe - just feels plain wrong putting so much effort into bending something thats brand new - scary isnt it ?

....So I now have a spare stalk - I wonder what use I can put it to ...
Perhaps you could use it as a hook for a coat or hat ?
I have found the GPS for less external battery extender to be excellent and have used it a few times, it has an LED power light and an on/off button on the same end, the coiled lead is plenty long enough for most uses, the photo is of mine to give you an idea of size.
I tend to use it once the battery is getting low but there is nothing stopping you using it with a full charge in your Orbit 2, when the charge is getting low in the extender the LED gets dimmer, if it had other low warning indicators built in then these would also drain the batteries that is why I went for one that does the job and does it well. A good tip is to use the highest capacity AA rechargeable batteries you can find for a longer lasting charge.
I ordered the Trinity - HTC P3600 version as shown here all the HTC models have the same part number.
Thanks for the comprehensive answer. I am looking at completely different items, which will do multiple charges, being high capacity. This one is 5400mAh at £39.99, and this one is 3600 mAh at £29.99. When in areas with lots of wireless signals the normal Orbit 2 battery will last for about 2 hours Navizon use. I want to extend that to around 8 hours, so I'll probably go for the higher capacity.

I to ordered the desktop cradle as per Boz's post earlier in this thread (Post #7, page 1). It turned up within the week £9.64 in total will £/$ Rate.
I must say I am well impressed with it the clear stylus and blue LED is superb, gives it a great look. The O2 Xda Orbit 2 fits in there nice and securely and is well supported at the back.
I am just using the USB Cable to charge from the PC, the separate UK PSU I will keep as a spare or travelling.
The Lanyard strap is adequate but not something I would use neither is the other metal telescopic Stylus.
What did surprise me and I do like is the screen protector. Now I have all sorts of problems with screen protectors normally making a mess of fitting them and binning them. But the free one is great. It only covers the touch screen area so not a complete full screen cover. But at least you don't have issues around the front camera or the bottom scroll wheel.
Great value for money, highly recommended and the only thing missing from the package from my point of view.

On in Car Holders, I generally use Brodit for all my in car holders over the years.
I currently have a Brodit holder for my iPod Classic 80GB and was very pleased to find that the O2 Xda Orbit 2 fits nicely in the same holder, saving me the cost of yet another holder as the Brodit ones are not cheap. The iPod holder is the one with the velvet around it to stop it scratching the unit so ideal with the Xda.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Michael_Mcr for the circus-strongman-bending-an-iron-bar tip as regards the supplied car mount stalk. On my Yaris, the front windscreen sits at such an angle that you'd have to lie on your back on the floor to read the Orbit 2 if you couldn't bend the thing, which was the conclusion I had come to after a couple of go's.
One accessory I have purchased is a 4 gb memory card. Probably a newbie question, but I've searched through these forums and can't work out how to transfer CoPilot 7 to the new card. I tried but it didn't work. Is it possible to do (which it must be) and could someone please direct me to the necessary info? Thanks.
Edit:
[Sorry, just found the answer on another thread!]

Hi .. I'm trying to find the cradle you mention with no success .. and the cheapest at GPS4less are £14.00 and don't look like they have stylus slots etc.
I just upgraded from Orbit 1 and was hoping (haha silly me) .. that the desktop cradles I had for O1 would work .. they do after a fashion .. but a hammer isn't a normal part of the synchronisation routine ..
SO .. any help on the 'cool' blue thingy ones would help ..
